4. Research highlights

1. The first scholar in the world who systematically points out the three gene defects of the current IP-based network: (A) IP-based cyberspace sovereignty is unilateral monopolized. (B) There is a lack of security genes, resulting in frequent security incidents and difficulties in privacy protection. (C) The protocol is solidified, leading to long upgrade times and high costs.

2. The first scholar internationally to systematically identify the three fundamental genetic flaws of the current IP system: (A) The sovereignty of IP network space is monopolized unilaterally. (B) Lack of a security gene, leading to continuous security incidents and difficulties in privacy protection. (C) A rigid protocol system with long upgrade cycles and high costs.

3. The first scholar to propose three conjectural theorems on cyberspace security: (D) There is no technological solution to ensure the security of IP network space. (E) Using IP space as a reference, future network spaces will contain quantifiable, exponentially scalable, network attack-resilient security technologies. (F) Future network spaces may contain definitive security solutions.

4. Led a team for over a decade to propose a comprehensive, systematic, and collaborative solution, Co-governed Multi-identifier Network (Co-MIN). This solution has been verified through long-term practical use and defense-offense competitions, with the following outcomes:(A), (B), and (C) have been fully resolved.(D) Has been strictly proven from both mathematical and formal perspectives; the technical solution is unsolvable.(E) Has been strictly proven from both mathematical and formal perspectives, and has been verified through long-term practice.(F) Is on the correct path, and is undergoing rigorous proof with the possibility of a complete resolution in the near future.

5. Major academic and social contributions include

(1) Contributed a technological solution for the global cyberspace community, MIN (Multi-identifier Network), the first sovereign internet with characteristics of multilateral governance, sovereignty, peace, security, and rule of law. MIN was selected as a leading global internet technology achievement and published corresponding books in both Chinese and English. In 2022, it won the First Place Diamond Award at the UK International Invention Exhibition.

(2) Proposed a comprehensive patent solution to resolve the CAP (Consistency, Availability, Partition tolerance) dilemma in large-scale blockchain consortium chains. A contract was signed with Wiley, the world's leading publisher. This solution provides a solid technical foundation for the security of the cyberspace community and the implementation of core systems for the digital economy.

(3) Conducted globally leading research in distributed storage coding theory and systems, first proposing the maximum distance separable (MDS) code for distributed storage systems and securing a related patent. Also developed the practical GF(2) regenerative code patent, which has become the de facto global industry standard. This innovation has saved at least 50% of storage equipment and space investment costs for global IDC centers, achieving significant economic and unmatched environmental benefits.

(4) Pioneered the application of martingale theory in network attack-resilience quantitative security analysis models, obtaining patent authorizations in both China and the United States. This contribution provides a mathematical model for intrinsic security and AI-powered network security.

(5) Delivered key societal services, serving as the lead author for two major research platforms commissioned by the Shenzhen municipal government: the "National Cyberspace Laboratory Construction Plan" and the "Proposal for Future Network National Major Scientific Infrastructure." These efforts contributed to the establishment of these platforms in Shenzhen.

6. Professor Hui Li has been engaged in long-term research on computer network communication systems, software and integrated circuit design development, digital economy and blockchain system R&D, and foundational technology development for Web 3.0 and the metaverse. Has been responsible for key national research and development programs, including the National Key R&D Program, the Ministry of Science and Technology's 973 Program, the 863 Program, and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.

7. The first inventor of 8 U.S. patents and over 50 Chinese patents. The first author of 9 monographs, including 4 in English (3 already published) and 5 in Chinese (4 already published). Over 300 papers have been published in leading journals and conferences.

8. Previously served as the Director of Communications Chip Design and Senior Designer at Terapower Limited in the United States. Also served as the founding Chair of the Department of Integrated Circuits at the School of Information Engineering, Peking University, for 10 years. After mentoring graduates for 13 years, established the first integrated circuit design company at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, with a market value exceeding 40 billion RMB. In 2023, donated 20 million RMB to the alumni fund.

It is also the first time that Chinese exhibitors won the highest award since the show began more than 20 years ago;
